Engineers Australia (IEAust) is a national association of engineers. The Society recognizes three categories of Engineers' Occupations: Professional Engineers, Technical Engineers and Assistant Engineers. Engineers can be divided into a number of disciplines according to their specific disciplines, such as aviation and aerospace engineering, agricultural engineering, biomedical engineering, Industrial engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, coastal and marine engineering, environmental engineering, construction and civil engineering and so on.

At present, most of the Australian universities have engineering courses, and different universities have their own engineering expertise.
